Hello beauties,

I wanted to do a quick review on a serious magical skincare product I am currently loving. It happens to be the very popular drying lotion (which you have likely seen around the beauty world) by the Mario Bedescu line of skincare products. This is a acne spot treatment product that is known to vanish whiteheads overnight. A cult favourite for many celebrities such as Kylie Jenner, Rachel Bilson and Lindsay Lohan just to name a few.

The product contains salicylic acid which is that clear liquid on top with a combination of calamine lotion, zinc oxide and titanium dioxide as the pink sedimented base. Salicylic acid is meant to exfoliate the acne spot while the zinc oxide/ titanium dioxide dries out that pesky acne right out overnight. The calamine is meant to soothe any redness or inflammation in the area.

How to use it

Don’t shake it! When I first got the product I pretty much made the assumption that you need to shake it so that the pink sediment can mesh in with the clear fluid above. But that is wrong folks, you actually want the product to be completely separated as it comes in the bottle.

1. Dip in a clean q-tip all the way to the bottom to pick up some of the pink sediment.
2. Place the q-tip with the product on whiteheads and acne spots directly. Let it dry for a few minutes before you go to bed otherwise it can just rub off on your clothes or your pillowcase.
3. This is definitely a overnight product, it is meant to work its magic over a few hours so you shouldn’t be washing it within a few minutes of placing it on your whitehead.
4. Voila! Wake up with a zapped acne or a much more reduced one. There are a few types of acne that this product might take longer than just one night on but it has literally completely zapped my smaller acnes with a whitehead overnight!

This product is truly magic considering how quickly it works and how we know that becomes crucial when you get that annoying acne growing on your face before a big photoshoot/ event or basically when you just need your skin lookin’ on point.
